What are Chadam Cleaning's service policies?
Window Screens
Screens (when accessible) will be given a brief wipe when removed. However, full screen washing itself is an extra service that we are happy to provide. So please, let us know if this is something you would like to add prior to the appointment or upon arrival.
* Please take out any screens to windows that can ONLY be removed from the inside prior to our arrival.
* A note for Condo & Strata Buildings Screens … advanced notice should be given to all occupants to remove their screens before work is scheduled to commence. Any screens left in will result in those windows being skipped on the day the work is done!
Quality Care
Anything missed? If any window or part of a cleaning project is accidentally missed or is not cleaned to our usual professional standards, please let us know asap by email or phone. We love doing customer service for our clients and will be happy to come fix it and make sure it sparkles.
Gutter Cleaning Methods
When the gutters are full of water, our preferred method is the gutter-vac system. This involves use of our generator powered high suction vacuum and camera inspection system.
We can also clean gutters by hand, removing debris with our gutter scoops into a pail before dumping it in an agreed upon spot.
On occasions where the situations merits use of a blower, we will blow out the gutters. However, any debris or mess that affects the surrounding areas will and should always be cleaned up by us. Always contact us if you feel a certain aspect deserves some more attention.
Gutter Guards
Do you have gutter guards? If so, please let us know right away when providing a quote or requesting gutter cleaning. Our usual policy is to clean the roof and the top of the gutter guards from any accumulated debris. If your gutter guards are screwed down, we can remove them above the downspout to make sure everything is flowing properly underneath, but this is only done upon request. It is our recommendation that gutter guards be fully flushed underneath every few years, although this will incur an extra cost due to more time involved.
Downspouts
When commencing any gutter cleaning project, we always make sure that the downspouts are cleared of any debris or build up. However, if you find that there is a blockage or water leaking, please let us know. We can then take apart the pipes separately, flush them, and make sure there is no blockage. Due to the extra time, this may incur an extra cost.
Dumping of Debris
Usually, we dispose of the gutter debris like leaves and branches etc. by dumping them in an onsite compost area on client’s properties. If you do not have somewhere specifically that you would like us to pile it, then we would be happy to bag the debris for you and leave it for you to dispose of yourself. If you wish us to take the debris away, this can be arranged at a cost of $10 per bag.
Exterior Gutter Wash
This is an add on service that we provide. If you wish to have the exteriors of your gutters washed, then please arrange that with us.
If dirt is added to the outside of a clean gutter in the process of cleaning the insides, it is our policy to clean up any mess we make. If this is not done, please contact us so that we can provide you with the customer service you deserve!
Glass Canopies
Dust, debris, pollen and even algae can leave your canopy looking dirty.
We clean by scrubbing and rinsing the glass with purified deionized water and brushes designed for use on glass.
If the dirt or algae is particularly bad, we may recommend cleaning with our soap, degreaser, algaecide mix first, and then rinsing the glass afterwards with our purified water.

Do you have any rain barrels attached to your gutter system? Although our roof treatment is as eco-friendly as it gets, it still contains a ‘soapy surfactant’ which helps it to stick onto a sloped roof surface. This would be an undesirable addition to water collection barrels. Please un-plug or dismantle the ‘gutter to barrel attachment’ on the day of work or prior to treatment spraying.
